Each year there are thousands of Australians who undertake to build be it a major project, 'their dream home', or just to renovate and extend an existing project or their homes. Unfortunately many end up unhappy with the finished result for a variety of reasons. Some owners find that the finished result looks different from the way they thought it would look, some find that the planning is poor that it is hard to heat or cool or that the completed cost was far in excess of their budget. Some find that they just could not get an approval through the Local Council and Authorities. The ArchitectMany people don't know what an Architect is and mistakenly think that somebody who draws plans is an Architect. That could not be further from the truth. The title 'Architect' is a legal one indicating that a person has demonstrated his or her professional competence by examination, experience and is registered or licensed to practice architecture. An Architect who practices architecture will usually have Professional Indemnity Insurance so as to safeguard himself and you his client. After all an Architect is a human and is subject to making mistakes just like anybody else. To become an Architect a person usually has to spend about 6 years doing a University Course and then gain about 2 years experience after leaving university before they can sit for an examination which if passed will gain them the right to be registered and call themselves Architect. What can an Architect do for ME?
